Description

A flavorful side dish of rice enhanced with lime and cilantro.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup long grain rice (Jasmine works best)
  • 1 cup water or vegetable broth (Use broth for added flavor)
  • 1 pinch kosher salt (Omit if using broth)
  • 1 whole lime (Zest and juice included)
  • 1 clove garlic (Finely chopped)
  • 0 cup fresh cilantro (Chopped finely)

Instructions

  1. Rinse rice under cold water until clear to remove excess starch.
  2. Combine rinsed rice and broth/water in a saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cover for 12 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in lime zest, juice, garlic, and cilantro after steaming.
