Description
Delicious and tender BBQ chicken made in a crockpot with cherry cola for a sweet twist.
Ingredients

- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup cherry cola
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening)
- 2 tbsp water (for cornstarch mixture)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot and season with salt and pepper.
- Layer sliced onions on top of the chicken.
- Pour cherry cola and BBQ sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours until chicken is tender.
- Shred the chicken directly in the crockpot and mix with juices.
- For a thicker sauce, combine cornstarch with water, stir into the crockpot, and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve on buns or over rice.
