- 4 slices brioche bread
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- Oil for frying (enough for 1 inch in the pan)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and cinnamon until smooth. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture onto one slice of bread and top with another slice to form a sandwich. Repeat with remaining slices.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together beaten eggs and milk to create an egg wash.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering (about 350°F).
- Dip each sandwich into the egg wash and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with powdered sugar or your favorite toppings.
