Description
A delicious cheesy beef casserole that’s perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 4 oz canned diced jalapeños, drained
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and well blended.
- Fold in the diced jalapeños along with half of the shredded cheddar and half of the mozzarella until evenly distributed.
- Add the cooked ground beef to the cheese mixture and stir until everything is fully coated and uniform.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella over the casserole. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.
Notes
- This casserole can be prepared in advance and baked just before serving.
