Delicious cookies made with all-purpose flour and flavored with vanilla and almond extract.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 0 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 0 cups unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3–4 tablespoons milk (regular, low- or non-fat are fine)
- 1 drop green food coloring
- 1 tablespoon green sanding sugar
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix on low until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough and roll out between wax paper.
- Cut into shapes and bake in a preheated oven until edges are just golden.
- Beat butter, mix in powdered sugar and milk to desired consistency.
Notes
- Ensure butter is softened for easier mixing.
- Use food coloring sparingly for desired color.
